Matthew 28:18-20

What is God’s role in making a disciple? What is the church’s role in making a disciple? What is your role in being a disciple?

Read Matthew 28:18-20. Why does Jesus announce that he has received “all authority”? What are the disciples supposed to do with this information?

What does it mean to "GO" in Jesus' command, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . ." (v. 19)? Go where?

Read Daniel 7:13-14, 27. How does this serve as background to Matthew 28:18-20?

What biblical evidence is there that Jesus has already been crowned king? (See Acts 2:34-36; 1 Peter 3:22; Eph. 1:20-22.) Why is this important?

If Jesus is already king, why are things not changing more rapidly? (See 2 Peter 3:9-15; Romans 2:4; 1 Timothy 2:1-4.)

What is the command (there is only one imperative) in the Great Commission? How is this command to be fulfilled?
